Someone’s recent quarantine observation struck a chord with me. It was something like, “Damn. I guess the reason why I never got to all those projects wasn’t because I had no time.” Our task avoidance is staring us in the face. It’s the first of May! Jonathan and I both got our “rabbit rabbit” out first thing, which means good fortune for the month. In the glow of hopeful optimism, I created a fantasy to-do list for home projects and taped it to the wall. Not yet on board, Jonathan’s response to the list was stress contortions and groaning. I assured him it’s only wishful…but maybe we can choose one thing in our life that causes stress, and tackle that. I once heard it called “the drip method.” Don’t plan everything, just one step, one corner, one task to elicit an uplift that might carry inspiration forward. We have some time; we just need the will. My 60th year in 60,000 words Day 251: 156 words, TOTAL = 41,149; 18,851 remaining
